Spring High Point Market - The New Home Furnishings Intros That Didn’t Get Their Debut

Embrace Sofa by Nathan Anthony

I’ve been seeing lots of new intros from various home furnishings vendors that were going to be showing at spring High Point Market, coming through my email.

As you know, every major event in the world was cancelled last month and that included spring market. There are some beautiful new intros that were supposed to have their debut and I thought you, design lovers, just might want a peek!

The curvy sofas are still hot!
As I wrote about in my post last fall and the fall before that, curvy upholstered goods are really becoming popular.

Here are some of the new intros that keep showing us this trend is holding strong.

This beautiful, curvy sofa, the Embrace, by Nathan Anthony, is one of many new intros that were to debut at High Point’s Spring Market.

The Koba sofa from Moe’s Home Collection is another one with curvy forms.

The Simone sofa and chair from Diamond Sofa really shows off its curves.

I can see these looks working so well to modernize big open living rooms in these two story spaces around our area, as these would be so fabulous to look down upon from above too.

New Swivel Chairs
New swivel chairs, the Bruno from Fabricut and the Sleek Swivel from Carolina Custom Leather are introduced this spring. I reported last fall that swivels are popular these days and can bring much functionality to any furniture layout.

The Bruno swivel chair from Fabricut is tailored and trim.

The Sleek Swivel from Carolina Custom Leather has a high back, something a bit more uncommon but often needed in a swivel chair.
New Table Intros Bring Style And Design
Tables always make a strong style statement in any dining space and this one, the Elliptical Oval from Clubcu, in reclaimed elm, makes a big one.

That uncommon table shape can be just the perfect fit for unique spaces that need softer edges. It is such a nice blend between a round and rectangular shape and would make for better dinner conversation, no doubt! Love this table!

New coffee table offerings from Sarreid, Ltd. and Sonder Home, bring different shapes and materials to the center of your seating group using the popular “X” design in different ways.

The Fife and Drum round glass top table from Sarreid, Ltd. would look great on a light colored rug, adding some interest and detail. The Sonder Living Charlie coffee table adds a modern edge with the X base and that slight curve on the legs.

This new metal and glass console from Charleston Forge is just the perfect size and visual weight to slip into a crowded room when you need something interesting behind a sofa.

I’m also always on the hunt for interesting tiny tables to tuck into seating arrangements in creative ways. The Honeycomb side tables from Phillips Collection could work in any style design and many different rooms in your home.

You gotta love anything “bee” related these days, right?

Black and Brass is looking good
I mentioned in my post in January reporting on the Lightovation show in Dallas, that I was seeing a black and brass combination in many fixtures.

Here it is again, at Hudson Valley Lighting in their Dawson pendant (a tricky wireless look to the hook and rod, right?). It also looks fabulous in the new lantern series from Crystorama, the Weston.

Also noted from Mirror Image Home, this new mirror in the same black and brass combination, designed by Jamie Drake. This new bar cart from Wildwood also features this beautiful finish combination.

I think we will be seeing even more products in these finishes next fall!

There’s Always A Place For Texture
Textural items are always in demand and add interesting layers to a room. See these new intros that would help with that.

Strings of beads made from mango wood create the textural shade of this pendant from Jamie Young.

The Stonewall lamp from Pacific Coast brings an organic textural feel to a room’s design.

This new teak wood bench from Blaxsand brings new meaning to the live edge look with the back and seat design. No two benches will ever be the same, as they take the form of the teak root that was harvested from a sustainable teak tree farm. :-)

Desks and Etageres
I love finding new desks and etageres. These are often hard to find in a style and size that you need.

The new adjustable desk from Twin Star Home will definitely be a popular piece as we all need more desks to work from home. That unique cane paneled desk, from Dovetail Furniture, has a really fresh look.

So many times, in my Wall Decor Weekend recently, I used an etagere or taller cabinet on the wall to help fill the space. It’s not always about art!

Etageres add depth and dimension to walls and make it fun and easy to store books and accessories that help you show personality in your home.

This simple and straightforward beauty is from red egg. I love the natural finish and clean lines. Being 64.25“ tall, it is just the right height for some appropriate decorating above the cabinet. :-)

Remarkable rugs
One thing I really miss about not getting to market is seeing rugs in person. They can look so different on a computer screen and to get to touch and feel them really helps.

If market could have been on this spring, no doubt I would have visited Feizy to see these new intros. I’m always looking for blue/gray combinations like the Azure rug, below, and the warm tones of the new Bahtia rug has me really intrigued.

Loving the rich tones of the new Bahtia rug from Feizy.

These rugs, below, from Company C, are interesting intros this season. I can’t wait to see them in person next fall!

Love the organic pattern of this rug, Almond Blossom, from Company C. It would work in a cool or warm toned room.

This rug, Color Code, from Company C, makes a bold color statement.

create Your Own Chest
Kravet is becoming more and more the one-stop design source for interior designers. This program, the ICreate Chest program, lets you mix and match style, function, finshes, etc.

The new ICreate Chest program from Kravet lets designers really go custom on case goods.

One last intro i’ll share here, is this new light fixture, the Mobius 12 light pendant, from Hubbardton Forge.

Again, after seeing the products I found at Lightovation this past January, this organic shape and nod to biophilic design is evident and definitely on trend.

High Point Market manufacturers that are located in North Carolina are opening back up next week. Others across the country will be starting up soon. I wish them huge success and can’t wait to see it all in person in the fall!
